In your opinion, what defines an American? What qualities do they possess?

someone that works and dont have really anything to show for it since others take what we work for like the illegals! and its the land of the free if u aint american to start with. we pay taxes for others to us so when we need the help its over looked. americans are givers but we over look are own ppl to make are self look good to other countries. we die for others more so then we for are self. i'll stop here but i could go on!
