depends, Japan has a differnt situation, so they can afford doing this, but here, immigrants whether you like it or not make up a large amount of the agricultural workforce whic allows us to have cheap food. You'd be surprised to find out that alot of immigrants are responsible for alot of what we have, so by imprisoning the employer, all that would do is stop production and mess us up even more

Yes, I have said all along it is not an illegal immigration problem it is an employer problem. Arrest the person that does the hireing and put them in jail, fine the company enough so that it is not worth it to pay substandard wages to them and they will go home. NO JOB = NO WORK = NO REASON TO BE HERE.......

I saw a couple of articles recently that said they were starting to look for jail time instead of fines for employers, already. Presumably that is in cases where they knew or were reckless about whether the employees were illegal or not.
