What is the fastest and easiest way to apply for Mexican-American dual citizenship?

Falkland Islands fastest way to full British / EU Citizenship? I'm American, seeking dual citizenship w/ EU...

  • I'm American. I need to acquire EU Citizenship for my career. I'm NOT renouncing U.S. citizenship, so I need to be naturalised in a country that accepts dual citizenship and doesn't take too long of a time to get. This basically narrows my choices down to Ireland (4 years), France (5 years), and U.K. (5-6 years). However, I'm wondering if there is a quicker way to do this legitimately -- for instance, I believe citizens of the Falkland Islands automatically get full British citizenship; but I couldn't get any details about the F. I. The most information I could find was here: http://www.falklandislands.com/about_us/faq.asp#q25, where it states: "PERMANENT SETTLEMENT -- Individuals or families that intend to remain settled in our community can apply for Permanent Residence Permits from OUTSIDE the Falkland Islands at any time. The effect of a Permanent Residence Permit is to allow the holder/s to enter and depart from and reside in the Falkland Islands without restriction..." Help???

you know, if you are looking for ways, theres also an alternative, your citizenship has some value to other europeans in a similar yet opposite situation, I would try to find an EU citizen willing to marry you in exchange for US citizenship.... you get my vibe? there are tons of Germans, Brits and irish ppl definitly interested in getting US citizenship just as much as you want it the other way around. As far as the falkland islands goes, permanent settlement does not mean citizenship, similar to a green card in the US, which means nothing in terms of nationality you would still remain a US citizen.

I think that the UK Immigration authorities would smell a rat, and (let's face it) it is a rat. You aren't really a Falkland Islander, and Her Majesty will figure that out. It seems to me that your best bet would be to work for an American company with a branch office in the EU.
