Some help required on getting PIO card for my wife!!!?

  • My wife is a Mauritian. We got married in Mauritius on Jan 21, 2005 (Mauritian civil marriage accordign to Mauritian laws), and again on May 12, 2008 in Kerala (Special Marriage Act, 1969). My wife has been in India since October 2005. So, when applying for a PIO card do the authorities take into account we being married since Jan 21, 2005 or May 12, 2008, as an affidavit is required stating we have been living as husband and wife for the preceding 1 year? My wife has been renewing her residence permit in India these last 3 years based on our Mauritian marriage certificate, also her visa to enter India the first time in 2005 was issued on the basis of the Mauritian marriage certificate Also, the check list of documents required for issue of PIO card and if photocopies are okay Thanking you in advance.
