Do boating licenses transfer between states?

When States make new laws Illegals Begin Leaving Arizona as New Law Approaches can't all states do this ?

  • For the first time, Mexican officials in Arizona admit there is hard evidence illegal immigrants are preparing to leave the state because a new employer sanctions law is making it difficult, if not impossible, for them to keep a job. Illegal immigrants are flooding the Mexican consulate in Phoenix for documents that will allow them to return to Mexico to enroll their children in school, the consul to Arizona, Carlos Flores Vizcarra, told FOX News. They are also requesting a document called "menaje de casa," which allows illegal immigrant families living in the U.S. to cross into Mexico without paying a tax on their furniture and personal belongings. Vizcarra said 94 families asked the embassy for students transfer documents last month, compared to only three last year. He said several thousand immigrants asked for the tax document. In a separate interview, Edmundo Hidalgo of the non-profit immigrant support group Chicanos Por La Causa, said 30,000 illegal immigrants said in a survey last week that they planned to leave Arizona sometime before March 1, when the state’s tough new employer sanctions law goes into effect. Under the law, employers can lose their business licenses if they hire undocumented workers. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has set up a hotline for citizens to report on employers who hire illegals. He has said enforcement will begin when the law goes into effect. Many deputies have also been given arrest authority by Customs and Border Protection to enforce federal immigration law. So in the course of a traffic stop, illegal immigrants without a driver's license could ultimately face deportation. These factors, combined with a slowing economy, are forcing many undocumented workers to consider leaving Arizona. According to a study last year, 12 percent of Arizona’s workforce is in the U.S. illegally, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,329829,00.html

  • Answer:

Kudos to Az for anything they do in giving preferential treatment where it rightfully belongs--to AMERICANS. Enough with folding under Illegal pressure to reward them for their misdeeds and uncontrolled reproduction. "Arizona voters may be asked to decide whether to prohibit the state from issuing birth certificates to children of non-U.S. citizens. Under the proposal, hospitals would be required to check the citizenship of parents of newborns. Supporters have to gather more than 150,000 signatures by July 3 to qualify the measure for the November 2008 ballot."

I'm honestly surprised Arizona is doing this since their own Senator John McCain wrote the bill with Kennedy that would give Amnesty to all 30 million illegals. I commend Joe Arpaio for his fine example he sets for all American Citizens. USA needs more people like him. These border states are not places Americans feel comfortable living in. It's too much like living in Mexico. But isn't that their whole point?

Yes isn't it GREAT!! Arizona and Oklahoma have adopted these laws. The Mexicans going back to there home towns are now rioting saying they do not have enough schools for the children and housing. Gee, they must be getting a taste of there own medicine. They can build more homes and schools? But the problem I am having, so I really want some pity, is that they are flooding Texas.

My Baby!

Most States should make these laws. If Arizona's law keeps getting tossed out of the courts; there may be more States willing to follow. Texas, I want to see how their economy booms or busts and see for a fact if illegals drain or improve a States economy, since most illegals are flooding their State. The whole country as a whole is slowing down, so it will be good to see if other States follow or not to get a good comparison going.

Fox_America

if everyone wrote there elected officials with the opening line..."end the invasion, please stop our illegal problem!!!" we could be done with this in a matter of months. end the invasion

AmericanNative

I truly hope the law works, all 50 states pass it, and all the border jumpers leave!!!!!!! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!!!

Not California. We are held hostage by liberals. We tried, but Grey Davis shot down our attempts.

I hope all states do the same !

Sweet Tea & Lemons

Absolutely! The rhetoric coming from our politicians about being able to do nothing about the illegals already here is BS Just make our SS#s instantly verifyable lke Visa and MC, and bogus numbers to get jobs won't work; and those who are working with bogus numbers will be fired. Valid SS#s will be needed for benefits, programs and free education ... and 90% of them will go back home, and have to apply to immigrate legally.
