What was the mortgage crisis of 2008-2009?

Is the mortgage crisis a humanitarian crisis of tremendous proportions if churches can?

  • If churches can take in illegals why want they take in people who have lost their homes ? Where is the outrage that the mortgage crisis seeks to criminalize and dehumanize and terrorize those of our fellow human beings who only ask for a place to live ? Is this is a moral outrage? Must we all challenge laws we consider unjust? Are families being torn apart ? Is it not true, home owners simply ask to be able to both provide a home for their families and live with their families without fear of being thrown out in the streets? What about the kids ? Does the church offer the same help to home owners that it does to illegals ?

    But what about the kids ? Separation of families? Families being ripped apart? The church makes 2 payments yet that same church spend over 2 billion is scandals alone since the 50's.So bottom line any homeowner with kids why are they not given the same consideration as illegals ?

I think place of worship should be a sanctuary to all needy people. However, those who got them self into debit and lived beyond their means, as far as, I see it, they should be hold accountable.

The catholic church thinks first of the money donated by illegals. They really aren't out to do anything for poor citizens.

The church does help homeowners. They have fuel asst. programs and make 2 payment a year for renter or homeowner that need help. Catholic and non Catholic can get help like that. Btw Bush is seeking a package to help the homeowners and bail them out. Paid for by taxpayers naturally. Illegals you say shouldn't get your tax money but is it fair then for your taxes to pay for someone who can't manage their finances coz their legal? I don't buy things I can't afford and expect taxpayer to bail me out.
