How long does it take to complete the immigration process to Canada?

Moving to Canada while you wait for immigration process to go through?

  • Hi I would like to know if anyone knows of a way that my son and I can move to Canada, while we wait for our immigration thing to go through??? I am from Denmark and I am in no way, shape or form trying to move to Canada to take advantage of the system there (as it is probably better here any way). The reason I want to move to Canada is to be with my Canadian husband, but the immigration process takes 8-10 months and probably longer if we're really unlucky. We sent all the papers about a month ago (family sponsorship). I am allowed to be in Canada as a tourist for six month at a time - but then I can't work and my son is not allowed to go to school. So is there any way at all that we can go sooner instead of having to wait all that time??? Does anyone have a great idea??? Thanks

  • Answer:

Do anything you are not allowed to and you will not get your visa. Visit as a tourist by all means.
