Stateless in Bangladesh and Pakistan?

  • http://www.statelesspeopleinbangladesh.net/home.php What is this i just went through some sites today when i was reading about Pakistan and Bangladesh and i got through this site i've read about But when i found out it was kinda interesting because it's about the Stateless Pakistanis who live in Bangladesh particularly in Dhaka, Bangladesh My question is do these people which are Stateless gets the same rights in Bangladesh? as the Bangladesh because back in the history ther a lot of Genocide and many Bangladeshis do not forget that episode. I'm Pakistani and Bangladesh but i feel there in between.

    I don't think these people have rights in either Bangladesh or Pakistan. The Biharis were left behind. Many remained loyal to Pakistan which I can understand Bangladesh not welcoming them, however, Pakistan has simply left them for dead. These people have no rights on either side. Bangladesh allowed 10 Biharis to become citizens and have voting rights in 2003 and this was considered a victory for Biharis. It appears Bangladesh is most likely going to be the one who helps because I read that in 2008 the Dhaka high court approved citizenship and voting rights for about 150,000 refugees who were minors at the time of Bangladesh's war of independence in 1971. Those born after are slowly gaining more rights and the right to vote. What a shame. We have been on this earth for so long and have accomplished so little, relatively speaking.
