What are the requirements to change status of my passport?

Can you change marital status in Philippines passport from married to single, what are the requirements?

  • Answer:

Yes, I think you can but I think you would either have to apply for a new one or renew your passport and submitt additional requirements to change the civil status on your passport. There is no clear information online about change in civil status so you might want to contact the DFA about this. My best guess you would need the following documents: 1. For Annulled marriages - certified true copy and photocopy of annotated Marriage Contract or Certificate of Registration and certified true copy of Court Order. 2. Affidavit for amendment of civil status (I am not sure) 3. You might have some kind of form for this. But if it is a renewal or a new passport, you need only the number 1.

Men Now- No such thing as divorce in The Philippines. I believe the annulment contract is sufficient. Check with the passport bureau.

I'm sure you can. Since there is no divorce in the Philippines, you will need an annulment. You need a lawyer to do that I'm sure. Once the annulment is granted, take that document with you when you renew or apply for passport. Google it.
