Why is US law still tolerating illegal immigration?
-
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081007/ap_on_bi_ge/immigration_raid 300 suspected illegal aliens detained in SC... Yet in places where the illegal immigration is rampant like Southern California, Texas and New Mexico, relatively nothing is being done. The borders are still wide open, slave labor is still pouring into the US, and the US middle class is all but completely extinct. I understand that everyone wants to work to feed their family, the question is should illegal immigrants be allowed the privilege of working in the US at the risk of destroying the society from within? Before I get hate-responses I should provide some first hand examples. 1. Loss of revenue for the state and weak economy. Money earned is sent out of the country 2. Taxpayers are overburdened by paying for illegal immigrant's health and welfare 3. Illegal immigrant gangsters are a definition of domestic terrorism 4. Slave wages drive down incomes for the legal residents and keep minimum wage from increasing. Sorry, I just don't see how illegal immigration is good for anyone except the immigrants themselves. Why are our borders still open? I have a proposal... 1. Legalize all illegal aliens under probationary conditions and incorporate them into the economy 2. Deport all illegal aliens who are convicted of crimes other than crossing the border illegally. I am so damn sick of paying the price for those who essentially "cut in line" by avoiding the legal process. Before you start ranting how I am a racist, realize this... I am a LEGAL immigrant who went through the process

Answer:
Well, I am also a legal immigrant who had to go under the bus for all the obstacles, humiliations, delays, paper works, etc, etc. I am glad that somebody didn't need to follow such humiliation. It is logical to set controls for immigration. Correct. But it is not to make it unnecessarily difficult and humiliating . Now I am striving with my wife's citizenship and the absurd regulations. How can you DEMAND that a 68 years old person dominates the english ? Besides, now we have the problem of the economic collapse ( I know. They will blame the illegals for that, for Kennedy's assassination, for the 1928 collapse, for the WW II , the WW I,and well, whatever else ) Nevertheless, I must say that your proposal looks not that bad. I don't think there is a "good" idea to solve the problem, but rather a "not that bad " idea. Maybe yours would work

"1. Legalize all illegal aliens under probationary conditions and incorporate them into the economy" we did that with reagan and it only got worse. This punishes the legal aliens who spent years trying to get into this country... you should know this. next, you said "Slave wages drive down incomes for the legal residents and keep minimum wage from increasing." do you understand what a new legal workforce of an estimated 20 million unskilled workers would do to the wages of americans? when you have an influx of legal cheap labor, wages are cut everywhere, because they can tap into this. Instead of paying an unskilled worker $20 an hour so the company wont have to find another worker (due to unemployment levels) they could pay someone minimum wage, and a newly legal immigrant, just looking for a job, would take it. 2. so does that include working? Its illegal for an illegal to get a job in the US, so if they have a job, they need to be deported. giving them legal status would be terrible for the working men and women of this country, but would benefit business like you wouldnt believe. the only thing we can do is deport all illegal immigrants who have a job.

I hear yah, we spent 6 years and thousands of dollars in fees, had to be interviewed, stand in long lines, treated like cattle and finally we get my wife approved. Then we find out the guy she works with just came across the border with his cousin and never went back to Mexico. That's not right.

The way for The U.S. to stop Mexicans pouring into the U.S. is for the U.S. to stop the economic subjugation of South America.

A change will take place, but it will be due to economy and not the government. Understand this, the government will NEVER do the right thing. The result of Bush eight year reign as well as foreclosures, out sourcing and natural disasters have over whelmed us economically. Jobs for illegal will become impossible to get, and many will go home. Millions have sent money back home and more in their bank account than the average American. Not all will go back; only those who have a reason for doing so. Even Americans move from city to city or state to state to find a good job. Also, I believe that certain States will crack down like never. What D.C won't do, the individual State will do. Mississippi has already begun the process. This State has less illegals than any other.

Your question doesn't make sense! you post an article on "300 SUSPECTED illegal aliens" that were detained, but you ask "Why is US law still tolerating illegal immigration". Looks like their doing something about it to me!!!!!!! 1. NOT ALL immigrants send money back to their country. And how can numbers be accurate when they don't know exactly how many are here? Hmmmmm! 2. Illegal immigrants are banned from Government programs with very very few expeptions. 3. So-called illegal gangster (as you say it) only make up maybe 10% of gangs, and if you know gangs, especially in L.A., that's a very very small percentage. 4. Jobs are given to the better worker, working for lower wages helps US businesses make huge profits, and it allows them to keep the prices of their products low.....so you save! http://americanaffairs.suite101.com/article.cfm/undocumented_assumptions Congress passed (and President Clinton signed) the welfare-reform law known as the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act. From then on, only citizens or legal immigrants, such as those with a Green Card, were eligible for federal benefits. http://time-blog.com/curious_capitalist/2007/08/if_californias_economy_cant_su.html If California's economy can't survive without illegal immigrants, whose problem is that? No state will be hurt more than California, which is home to at least one-quarter of the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States. California's $32 billion agricultural industry is dependent on them. They also make up a significant percentage of the construction, restaurant, hotel and other sectors of the California workforce. http://www.streetgangs.com/18thstreet.html The typical propaganda from law enforcement is designed to stigmatize the gang by over exaggerating the extent to which the gang operates. Gang experts say there are no studies to corroborate the figures, although they estimate that the number is closer to 10 percent.

Undocumented are welcome! Love them, hard working people who spend most their time at working, instead of complaining and spreading hatred...... What has happened to americans and all this hatred...... call the white house for these complaints obviously nobody here can do anything, unless your purpose is to spread hatred towards other human beings l........ yeah I think that's it ...... oh by the way, did mention you are a RACIST!!!!!!
Now What
the usa citizens ignore or do not want to know the true, the usa depends on the international commerce, because of this issue the usa is losing all the best customers and its economy depends of the countries of the illegal immigrants, they will need to fix it soon or there will be a worse disaster and not only economical pretty soon ,everything that the terrorists are expecting after sept. 11 is happening because they took care about the usa culture and politic so they knew exactly the reaction and this issue is helping to them and causing pain to the citizens from the american countries that have been deported and will cause pain to the usa citizens if this issue is not solved.if i am wrong let me know but the "free trade agreements" will be the next issue to treat in the gov. but this time those trades are coming with the rules of the other countries not the usa rules like used to be .

It would cost $2.6 trillion to legalize those already here. Does that sound like a good idea to you? Then all those you just made legal are eligible for government services. Illegals are eligible for services through their anchor babies. With over 2 million born here I guess that makes alot of illegals eligible. Amnesty did not solve the problem last time it just made it worse, and cost us a lot more in benefits. Even when legalized they do not get drivers licenses or learn english and most will not gain citizenship. Bringing CA into this was not very smart seeing as how they need a $9 billion loan to keep gov operating.
