How can I change my last name to my husband's last name on my Mexican Passport?
-
Has anyone else have had to go through this process of changing your old name to your now married name? I am originally from Mexico but I reside in Oregon with my husband. I have my consulate ID and a Mexican passport they both have my name as is in my birth certificate. I am only trying to change my last name to my husband's. Has anyone gone through this? I would appreciate your comments on the subject. Please don't post rude things. Thank you.

You don't have to change your name here. Many people think you do, but that's not true. I never changed my name because I have many scientific papers and didn't want to go through the trouble when applying for a job to explain this.
