Why does Nigeria have such a large population?

What would happen if the whole population of Nigeria was immigrated to the United Kingdom?

Consider that Nigeria has around 160 million people, with UK having around 60 million. It would mean then that the UK's population would be 65% black 35% white. So, if this happened, what do you think would be the consequences?
