• What kind of documents are accepted for proof of 2) Evidence of self or parents or grandparents, a) being eligible to become a citizen of India at the time of commencement of the Constitution i.e. on 26th January, 1950; or b) belonging to a territory that became part of India after 15th August, 1947; or c) being citizen of India on or after 26th January, 1950, These could be: i) Copy of the passport; or ii)Copy of the domicile certificate issued by the Competent Authority; or iii) Any other proof 3) Evidence of relationship as parent/grandparent, if their Indian origin is claimed as basis for grant of Overseas Citizenship of India. My mother is a greencard holder, and father is an Indian Citizen, but he acquired US citizenship. For my mother I can use a copy of her passport as a proof of her being a citizen of India, but what do I use as proof for father being citizen of India on or after 26th January, 1950??? What do I used for 3. ie Evidence of relationship as parent/grandparent, if their Indian origin is claimed as a basis for grant of Overseas Citizenship of India?

  for OCI card you need any old indian citizen prrof of youself, your parents or grand parents this can be passport copy, birth certificate, school leaving certificate. you have have any one of these document then then you can apply for OCI Card if you have face any problem then you can aaply directly in MHA DELHI throught agent for fast procesure
