How can an australian student visa holder become a permanent resident visa holder?

hi...i just entered australia with a student visa. i am hoping to get a permanent residence visa later on. is there any way for my student visa to become a permanent resident visa faster?

Well~ if you wanna get PR asap. then you might as well go to TAFE and do "Hair & Beauty", Nursing & Bakery courses. these are the courses that will give you PR. At Uni, probably Accounting, Nursing & any other Medical related courses since Australia is short of Doctors.
