Where To See Past Entry Test?

Is it possible to get a entry level job in plumbing in canada after 9 months of schooling in the us?

  • I finnished school in plumbing as an apprentice entry level back in december 2010. I feel like everything i worked for, the loans i took to go to school is going to waste. I need to work under a master plumber for 4 1/2 years to eligible to take take the test. I cant find work because of the reccesion and the undocumented workers they hire. Alot of people advise me to go to canada because there is always construction being done i want to learn how to become a canadian citizen i lost all faith in the us. I would rather see my tax dollors at work then to see it go waste to dirty politicans.

  • Answer:

Canada will NOT accept you..........Until you have finished your apprenticeship period and have gained your full plumber's certificate of qualification. Period. SO< keep working in the USA, get your certificate and THEN apply to try to come to Canada. The steps to get to Canada are as follows. Get your plumbing certificate, Apply , as a " Skilled Worker " to come to Canada. Be accepted, come to Canada with a Permanent Resident status. Work in Canada as a plumber for at least 3 full years, THEN you can apply to be considered for Canadian citizenship approval. Total time line ? .....about 8 years , from start to finish. Jim B.
