What are some good paid jobs 50,000+?

If we need immigrants because British people "won't do" low paid jobs?

  • Then why do I know loads of (sometimes well qualified) British people working in Pubs, Resturants, McDonalds, as cleaners, Labourers etc, callcentres, because they can't get anything better? I'm sorry but I'm sick of hearing that we "need" immigrants to do these jobs. My BF has been stuck in a minimum wage pub job for ages and he is desperately trying to get out of it but he is having no luck at all. He is British. I feel its unfair for immigrants to be taking jobs when there are British people already struggling to find decent paid work. I think those who have this beleif that "all" Brits have well paid jobs and we "turn our noses up" at low paid work are just living in a dreamland and obviously have really good jobs themselves. You should get back to reality and see how some of your fellow countrymen are living.

    Yeah, and people like you should stop moaning about a situation you can alter yourself. Why is your bf in a low paid job? No qualifications? Bad attitude? I'm sure you can come up with a pathetic excuse so that you don't have to accept any responsibility... Well, your bf may not have a bad attitude, but you sure do - glad you have to work in a call centre...Heard of the dentist shortage??? Should we allow immigrants in the country to do that job?? You sound like you don't think any overseas people should be here....so you'd have no dentist and I'll see my brilliant, friendly, polite and hardworking Polish dentist - who just replaced the equally good South African one...you stupid, stupid woman.

i completely agree with you, they do take our jobs and also our housing, why should acres of englands countryside be ripped up just to house these so called refugees, its about time we closed the doors and ley other european countries take them in as we have more than our own far share.

I have been in recruitment for 5 years and it is usually so hard to get people from the UK to take minimum wage roles, especially if they have to travel more than a couple of miles to get there. I especially have problems with graduates, many instantly want £14k a year at least just because they have a degree and most of them do not understand that a degree in philosophy, English or whatever with no experience of work is not something valued by employers.

Get them ALL out!!! They are ruining a once great land with their pidgeon English, bad manners, and conflicting ideology to ours. One or two are acceptable for novelty value but London is over-run with the b*astards! Most of them have NO concept of common decency, they're just here to milk a country our ancesters have spent generations building and investing in. Our spineless government need to put a stop to this ridiculous open invitation to every Tom, Dick and Hamza!
