What can you do with a Bachelor's in Child Development?

What will I qualify as in Australia?

• My mother and I got a permanent resident VISA in Australia. As we are currently living in Canada we are planning on moving there in a year or two. I am enrolled in full-time studies as Bachelor of Child Development and I am wondering how this would be recognized in Australia. I would love to work as a Child Life Specialist - working in the hospital with young children, however I am not sure if my bachelor degree will be sufficient. Does anyone know a link or two where I can find our more information regarding education and future employment in Sydney, Australia with my education background in Canada? And lastly, should I wait until I receive my degree and begin the move or can I still move with my degree in progress and perhaps finish it at a university in Australia? PLEASE HELP!

  Australia has similar degrees so your Canadian qualification should be recognised here. If you were to come to Australia to complete your studies, you will be immediately eligible for government subsidised tertiary education though not for government provided student loans (they are only available to citizens).
