Does U.S give student visa to Iranians?

  • I am an Iranian student and I would like to continue my education in US but I heard some rumours that US do not give visa to Iranians students, Is it right? shouldn't I apply for US universities

    U.S. gives equal opportunities for a student VISA to all students, no matter where they're from. The rumors you've heard aren't true. I had a U.S. student visa and i know how it goes. However, one thing is for sure, after September 11th, you know the WTC crash, they have much more strickt rules, so you need to be pretty good to meet all the conditions and they will definitely do a background check on you. Don't let that discourage you, your english seems pretty good, i strongly recommend you to go on and make use of opportunities that come in your way. Back in time when i was planning to continue my education in U.S. i've used COLLEGEBOARD.COM, it's the best site ever for these kind of things. It will help you with everything, choose the best university for you, the most affordable one, it will help you with schoolarships and so on. You should really try it. It helped me a lot, i got accepted into: UCLA and Harvard University, and i used this site. At the end, i ended up going to R.I.T (Rochester Institute of Technology, NY). I benefit in others ways from this site as well, cause in this site you create a profile, and than the info in this site is available to many scholar organizations, universities and so on. 4 months letter i recieved a mail telling me that i was choosen to represent ALBANIA and KOSOVO in the GYLC 2004 in Washington D.C. It's amazing how much opportunities this site can bring to you. All you need to do is find 3-4 Universities that you like and apply to all of them. Than you need to pass TOEFL and SAT or ATC, submit the scores and you're done. Hopefully you'll be accepted and win a scholarship of some kind. I wish you a good luck ;)

US gives visa to some of Iranian students. rules after 9/11 have become more strict. You must apply to a good university in US and if it gives you admission you must try getting visa. Sometimes they give you visa sometimes they dont, usually people try US universities for MSc. degree, it works more often. If you are a genius or you have been in any scientific Olympiad or have a BSc. degree from a very good iranian university with a very good GPA and lots of research your chance will be high, otherwise, hmm, try your best anyways You can try Canada as well.
