How to plan a bridal shower?

I have to help plan a bridal shower. But, I've never attened one so I'm clue less.Please help!?

  • Okay, I'm 13 and I have to help plan a outdoor bridal shower. I'm very clueless. I've never attened one because you usally have to be over 16. I'm the only aception because I'm a bridesmaid. The shower takes place at the end of Augest and is in our backyard. We have not decied on a them Thats part of my job.

    You really don't need a theme - but of course can choose one. All the showers I've been to have been nice, laid back kind of parties. It's just a time for all the girls and ladies in the family and among close friends to get together and "shower" the bride with good wishes, love, and gifts for starting her new married life. Since it's in the yard, you don't have to worry much about decorations - maybe some paper bells and streamers. Maybe a poster with pics, if you are into doing that. For food, it's usually family members who contribute by making fancy sandwiches, little appetizer things, or just have cold cuts with buns, cheese and pickles. Usually women contribute squares or dainties, and some people have a special cake at a shower. Plan a few games, the simpler the better. Mostly people are just going to talk and visit. It usually takes a fair time for her to open the gifts, for everyone to see them, and do the oohing and aahing. Have fun and good luck!

Yes, that would be a tough job being 13 and trying to plan a bridal shower. That`s okay you will do fine. Make sure you have the bride`s favorite colors as part of the theme. Maybe something romantic like roses and flowers or something. paint toes, maybe even get a stripper because they are supposed to be fun and sexy. you know? or you could do a vegas theme and have all the girls playing poker and bunko and stuff like that. whatever you choose to do make sure it`s fun. =] good luck girl!!

Hi!! Here are some tips...hope they help. -For a theme you can choose a color or two...buy all the decorations these colors. -You need food...try to stick w/ one kind (italian,mexican ex.) -Plan games...ex. break up into teams and one person out of the team has to be a bride, then the rest of the team makes a wedding dress out of toliet paper on the bride (kinda like a mummy thing). -Buy prizes like body soaps and candles for the games.... -Party Favors Just make sure everyone has a good time!=]]]] Good Luck!

tea party or... well... maybe... uh... hm... i'm thinking of whether i should write this down or not. here's an idea to do at the party. i dont know if it counts as a theme, tho. you could tell/ assign the guests to bring different flowers and once all the flowers are given, you could hang them up on random places. then there would be like a flower party. everyone will have flowers with them and make sure they either mean something nice. then you could arrange all those flowers given and place them in random places for your tea party. that would be cool. sorry. i think out randomly.

Find out what the Brides's interest are, ( for the Theme) Example, she likes Hawaii so you could have a Hawaiian theme. What we usually do is play games, like Bride Bingo, get a Pinata and fill it w/pens and stuff your guests would enjoy. Believe me people will enjoy wacking that Pinata.Tell them it is a strss reliever. They may even thank you for the opportunity. You want to make it fun, and don't worry about what people will think. As long as they are having fun, it will be a success. You might check the Oriental Trading Company as they have alot of stuff for Parties, No I don't work for them but you can get some good deals and they are on line too.
