What are some really good industrial bands?

What are some good dark-wave/ goth/ industrial/ rock bands or songs we can play at our wedding?

  • My fiance and I are getting married soon and we are going to make our own play list to use for our reception instead of hiring a DJ. We are heavily into German, dark-wave, goth, industrial, rock, and techno. Does anyone have some good bands or songs in the listed genre that would work for a wedding reception?

    Congratulations! :) Not sure how well anything in these genres would work for a wedding reception. Most (but not all) are dark-wave. Some are slow and instrumental. It is your wedding, so play songs that you guys like, it doesn't need to be like a typical ceremony. Just think of the bands that you like and add them to it. Just be careful, because if it's a large family wedding, grandma is not gonna be impressed if listening to metallica all night! What we have done is, the first 1&half hours is going to be generic boring wedding music and then we are having a second "first dance" (chop suey SOAD) and thats gonna kick off the music for us and our friends :)
