How to avoid conflicts in grammar?

Etiquette Question: How much time should I between my fiance's baby shower and wedding to avoid conflicts?

  • I asked this before, but I asked a bunch of questions together, and no one got to this question. I'm getting married to the love of my life. It was love at first sight, so we weren't dating very long. Turns out he had a one-night-stand, and she got pregnant. Thing is, I was thinking of a March wedding (to avoid being too close to the Holidays and get "off-season" discounts at the venue". The baby-momma is due in early April, and the baby shower is February. How far apart should I schedule the wedding from the due-date and baby shower to avoid creating scheduling conflicts, or seeming like I'm"stealing her thunder"? FH will probably want to be there for the birth, and might not want to go away on vacation in the first few weeks. There will probably be lots of guest overlap between the wedding and the baby shower.

  • Answer:

this is not really an etiquette question since you do not owe consideration to the unwed mother, but in order to give each event it's due attention, you should probably plan your wedding for early to mid march...just incase the baby decides to be born early, or that the woman is lieing about her due date or the date she conceived. it's too bad that this happened because baby's always trump weddings...but you seem to have a good attitude about it all.
