Does anyone know about writing magazine articles and interviewing for information?

Submitting your wedding for "Real Weddings" in Weddingbells Magazine (Canada)?

• I was hoping to submit our recent wedding to Weddingbells magazine for their "Real Weddings" section. They publish 3 or 4 real weddings per issue, featuring Canadian couples, and I just think it would be so cool if we were chosen (but doesn't every bride)! I found an information sheet on their website about submitting wedding photos and some information about the wedding day for consideration. But the way the instructions are worded, it kind of sounds like it's photographers that are supposed to submit the weddings, not the couple themselves. I know our photographer would give us permission to submit, and give Weddingbells publications rights if we were chosen, but I think he might have to be the one that actually submits our wedding. And since part of the submission is making your wedding sound unique and highlighting the theme of the wedding, I don't think my photographer would have any interest in writing an interesting, attention-grabbing summary about our wedding. So having him submit it wouldn't really work/we wouldn't really have a chance at being selected. Has anyone submitting to Weddingbells magazine before? Do the bride and groom submit, or do they only accept directly from photographers? What did you include in your submission (how many photos, what type of write-up)? I emailed the magazine to ask, but I doubt I will hear back anytime soon. Thanks for any information you can provide!

  Just write everything up then ask your photographer to fill out the form with the info. Just make sure to mention to him it will be great advertisement for him if you get in. he will like the free ads portion and youll love that you wrote everything.
