What flowers are in season in August for a wedding in Italy?

Seasonal Wedding Flowers, What Is Appropriate?

  • Ever since I've started planning my wedding a few months ago I always dreamed of having red roses for my flowers. When me and my fiancee came up with a date that would fit our busy schedules (may 25th, 2013), I got to thinking on the flower situation. When I think of red roses, I think about late summer early fall. Would it be totally off season to have my flowers be red roses if I get married in May?

  • Answer:

No not at all I am having a Wedding in Autumn/winter and I initially wanted white peonies but they're a summer bloom but I ended up finding flowers that look the same for way cheaper than peonies! :) julia roses, lisianthus and david austin roses So excited. Red roses are classic and timeless, they are a really good representation of love.

Other answers

If red roses are really meant for late summer or early fall, then there are millions and millions of red rose mistakes in February during Valentines Day when red roses are the most sought after flower in the world. Red roses in May are delightful. How could anyone possibly find fault with a red rose. And if they do, then, off with their heads!!

Common Sense

Roses are sort of a universal flower...You can get them at any time throughout the year. Red roses are always appropriate for weddings, no matter what the month is. Just add something light...like Baby's Breath instead of heavy greenery to the bouquets.
