Belgian living in UK engaged to a filipina citizen, requirements to marry in Philippines?
-
I'm living and work in UK since 1986, divorced and now engaged to a Filipina citizen, living in Philippines, We want to marry in Philippines and would like to know the legal documents required to marry in Philippines.
-
Answer:
You need to talk to the Philippines Embassy. The Philippines does not recognize divorce because it is a Catholic country. If your previous marriage has not been annulled, there is a chance you can't marry in the Philippines.
