Help Me Please!! What colors do you think are good for a Winter wedding?
-
My fiancee and I will be getting married Winter of next year. I am struggling to find sme colors that are just right for the both of us and my bridesmaides. He like colors like red, dark blue, and black(dark colors), me on the other hand like bright lively colors(pastels light blue, lavender, pinks, silvers and golds), the total opposite of his colors. He dont want to help me with the wedding which I knew he wasnt but I at least want him to help me with the colors. What colors do you suggest will be something that will fit good with the both of us?

Answer:
Well, since he doesn't seem that interested I'd pick a bright color for the bridesmaids dresses for what would be prettier than light blue against the dreary grey of the winter. Were you to pick light blue for the bridesmaid dresses then his tux or suit could be dark blue or even black with a light blue vest and in your flowers that you carry there can among other colors also be noticeable light blue. Havig the bridesmaids dresses be silver with some pink accents would also be nice for then his vest could be silver/grey and you could have silver in your flowers-would also be a nice winter color.Whatever you pick remember It Is Your Day for I believe the fineries mean more to the woman than the man anyway. I wish you not just a splendid wedding but a happy fulfilled life with much joy

I'm getting married this saturday. Our colors are dark blue and silver--one dark, one bright. We didn't want Christmas-y colors, like red, gold and green. You could do a dark green and a lighter green, if that's not too redundant.

for winter weddings, usually they have quite deep and dark colours. your choice colurs are more of the spring and summer wedding theme colours. so maybe silver and blue should be ok. Deeper red like maybe maroon should also be fine. It's quite interesting that my fiance and I are the complete opposite of u and your fiance. He likes brighter colours while i prefer darker colours!

I love the red idea! It's a great winter colour, and looks beautiful on most people providing you find the right shade (i.e. not brilliant red). A deep wine colour would be stunning. metallic is always great in the winter, although I think it is more tastful to have accents or trims metallic rather than the whole dress. Traditionally, pastels are really inappropriate for a winter wedding. I would steer clear of them, or take a light colour you like and use a darker, more muted version of it.

How about a combo like silver and red or silver and dark blue. Or some other combo you both like.

bright light blue and a light yellow or light purple.

Red and white with silver accents Navy Blue and white with silver accents Burgundy and hunter green Most of all try not to stress too much over. Pick what fits the two of you and go on to the next thing. It will be a special day no matter what colors everyone is wearing. You know his tastes and yours so use that to build from. And don't let someone else tell you "that's not how it's supposed to be". Do what ever the two of you want because that is what the whole day is about: The commitment you both have chosen to make. Enjoy it for the celebration that it is. Congratulations and best wishes!

how about choose one color each of you like? I think a navy/dark blue matched with silver would look really nice, especially for a winter wedding. Have an even number of bridesmaids to have equal number of the dresses, and an equal number of groomsmen to have equal tie colors matching the dresses. Good luck, mucho congratulations & I hope I helped!

Burgundy and champagne.....that is a rich look and you will get the lighter tone you want while he gets the burgundy type thing he likes
