Any one know were i can sell a formal dress in duluth mn?

I found my dream dress after I already bought another one? ?

  • I know I should have stopped looking when I already committed to a dress but I couldn't help it when I was so unsure of my dress! So, what do I do? 1) keep dress number one because at the end of the day, it's JUST a dress and I'll only wear it once And dress number one is still okay 2) sell dress number one at a loss, and buy my dream dress which is double the cost of the first one ($1600). It's important to get the dress you LOVE on your wedding day. If I got the more expensive one I would sell it after the wedding to recover some of the costs but I'm not sure if it's worth all the hassles when it's just a dress... But I don't want to regret not getting it either :( what should I do?!

  • Answer:

Why don't you try dress #1 on again? See if the spark is still there? Also, have you tried on Dress #2? Or did you just see it in a magazine?

I answered your question yesterday and I think I gave you a pretty good suggestion. Go back and look.

Wear the dress you have. It's just a dress and doesn't have magic powers. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but no,you have to get a dress you LOVE on your wedding day. You need a dress that's nice and that you can afford.

You've already bought a dress. Why would you waste $1600 more dollars on a dress that you're only going to wear for ONE day. Not many people are going to buy a used wedding dress. You might get 10% of what you paid for it. Stick with dress # 1. You won't be sorry.

Get the dress you love. If your not going to break the bank getting it - then do. You know you will regret it if you don't - you will always be thinking of the other dress. Talk it over with your fiance and if it doesnt bother him then JUST DO IT! :)

You might be able to get a tax deduction by donating the first dress to a charity. There are lots of wedding related tax deductions. Google it.

I had the same dilemma... I had ordered a dress online that, when it arrived, I felt okay about, but not great. Randomly saw a lovely dress while shopping with my sisters and they made me try it on. It was almost triple the price of the first dress, but I talked with my mom and she agreed that you only get married once and should have a dress that makes you feel beautiful. Long story short, I have a different dress to wear to my wedding Wednesday than the dress I originally bought. I didn't want to spend my wedding day thinking about how much better I would have looked in the other dress. Best of luck.

Um...you want dress #2 so bad that you are willing to go through all that trouble to get it...just to end up selling it later?? Are you serious?? At this rate, you would have been better off getting married in shorts and a t-shirt. I stopped looking after i purchased my wedding gown. to me, it was not 'just a dress'. I have had it preserved so that one day, my own daughters may decide to wear it on their special day, or use the train to make my grand children's christening gowns should they be baptized. this is traditional.
