Strange to buy 100+ lottery tickets?

One year for Christmas, I bought the whole family Lottery Tickets, I think it was 2 full un-bought from rolls, about 200 - 300 dollars. The only look from the guy at the gas station was a look of joy because I was handing him over my money for so many lottery tickets! LOL they won't look at you strange, they will be so happy your spending your money there! Oh- just so you know, only one winning ticket out of 2 rolls - and it was for $10.00, my cousin was lucky enough to get it haha.

Who cares what the people at the gas station think? Like you said - it's your wedding and you can do what you want.

This is the perfect time to get your wedding party involved. If you have four other people (so 5 total) and even just go to 2 different gas stations you're only buying 10 tickets a piece. That doesn't look as strange. To be honest though, who really cares, and it's not a big deal. As far as them being a wedding favor or whatever you're using them for I think it's actually a cute idea if you can tie it into the concept of "betting on love."

Not at all. We actually gave out lottery tickets as part of our favors. My husband loves poker and we are regulars in Vegas, so it suited us. We gave away little organza bags filled with chocolate poker chips and a lottery ticket to each person--everyone loved it since some of them won!

Honestly they probably wont be too surprised and you can tell them what they are for and it will make more sense!

I love the lottery ticket idea! And, who cares what the person thinks? If you buy 100+ you are pretty much guaranteed to have a winner at your wedding. Isn't that better than what Joe Shmo, gas station worker, thinks about you and how you spend your money?

I love the idea of lottery tickets - beats the heck out of other crappy favors that cost a dollar. Don't worry about looking strange at the gas station -- the owner is stoked for the business, and you're never going to see the other patrons again.

I think its a great idea. I don't think anyone would say anything at the gas station. You wouldn't believe how many people buy lottery tickets in large amounts. If you are a little worried about it then go and buy like 20 at a time or whatever amount you desire. It is their job to sell the tickets. You are paying for it so what the hell do what you want to do. I would absolutely love it if I had that at a wedding. Not only is it a little different its a great idea.

My corporate office buys lottery tickets in bulk all the time to help boost morale. It's no biggie to buy a lot at once and its none of the guys business what you're doing with them so unless he asks just say, "Hi, I need 100 Betting on Love scratch offs please." with a smile. If he asks, then feel free to explain. Otherwise it's no biggie ( = Good luck!
