How to ask her to marry me??? I need something...AMAZING!?

  • Ok. I need some help here, guys, and girls. I’m 18 January 1…I want to ask my girlfriend to marry me outside in a few days, in the snow. She LOVES snow! I thought it’d be a good way to surprise her. Any ideas? Should I be kneeling on one knee, standing up, or sitting on the fence? Should I ask her after a snowball fight, or after making a snowman us the 2 of us? Should I have music playing in the truck when we’re building a snowman to get her in the mood? Should I write “Marry Me?” in the snow? Should I wait for the ritual trip up to the mountains this weekend maybe? I want something that’s going to just…blow her mind! This is the first time I’m going to ask anyone to marry me, probably the only time, I want it to be amazing…I have the ring already. I know she’ll say yes, because we’ve talked about it once she’s 18, so she’s basically said yes. I’ve just not really SAID IT yet. She’s really a lot younger than me. But we’ve been together a long time. I just want something like I said to blow her world. THANKS!

    Dear one, I'm glad I read your complete post - so I won't scold you about being too young. FIRST - make sure it's OK with her parents! Sounds old fashioned, but really - some parents get seiouslyl bent out of shape when their precious daughter gets engaged - so be sure it's OK first. OK on with this. Build a snowman and snowoman so that the snowman is holding something in his hand like he is giving a gift to his lady love. Somehow distract her - "Gosh, look at the clouds" and slip the ring box into the snowman's hand. THen step back to admire your snowpeople - and say "Gee, they look like us! Hey, what's that in the snowman's hand. I bet he picked my pocket." Then take her over to the ring and open it up and offer it to her. THEN you say (no letters in the snow) will you marry me? You can do this in her back yard - or you can go to the mountains (which would be more romantic). good luck. Make good grades!

Keep things traditional and get down on one knee. Girls like guys that are classy. Build that snowman of yours (with music--oldies) and then after you put the carrot as the nose, when she's not looking, slip the ring on it...she'll notice. "What's that?!" and she'll take it off the nose. Take her hands in yours, kneel down and pop the question! Then, go on the trip to the mountains to top it all off :) Let us know how things go for ya!

if you are 18 you should be concentrating on your education to get a college degree. i recommend you only propose AFTER you both get at least a bachelor's degree (4 years of college). when you do propose, go for a snowball fight and hide the ring in one of the loose snow snowballs. it will hit her and she might see the ring and go from there

You could have a great day playing in the snow then give her a winter related figure/present and when she asks why the little toy is holding a ring, that's when you ask her. ;D
