What Is The Best Gift For Marriage Anniversary?

What should I gift my husband for the 1st year marriage anniversary?

  • He is gonna buy me some jewels. I ve asked him what he likes but he already has all that he likes. What can be the best gift for a man? I wanna do something differenet. He is not interested in clothes also. Somebody please help. I appreciate any good suggestion.

    Since the 1st year is paper, for our's I thought of pictures. I found this website http://www.lightaffection.com/PersonalizedPhotoNightLight.html I had ordered a night light with our wedding picture carved in it. That is one of the coolest things I have seen. I ordered it before we went on our anniversary vacation. At the motel when he went to the bathroom, I shut off all the lights in the motel room and turned on this night light, when he saw it, I could tell he thought that was very special. He still appreciates it up to this day, almost 3 years later.

When my husband & I got married we agreed we would follow the "traditional" gifts for each wedding anniversary. The first year is paper. He got me a bonsai tree and I got him an expensive box of his favorite baseball cards. It's fun to think of different gifts like that. For instance, for the cotton anniversary I got him a hammock. Ooh. That's a good idea. Get him a hammock. All men like to nap under a tree! :-)

Well....my answer was a little staider. 1 year is paper.....so you can think in that direction.....an album of special photos, a book of meaningful poems.... or a little bit sexier...... some beautiful "art" photos of you done by a photographer......

He may not be interested in clothes for him. But a nice slinky outfit for you might get his attention. You can cook a special dinner and then provide a little entertainment with his dessert. Trust me ... he wont complain

Even though he says he has everything, maybe you can get him tickets to a favorite sports team game, if he plays Golf a day at the golf course with some friends, I like the suggestion of one person that said about buying baseball cards if he is a fan or other sports cards. This may sound weird but some guys are really into video games, maybe if he has a game console, buy him a game for it that he has been keeping an eye on. Some men even like back and foot massages and you could get an appointment for him. My brother-in-law always asks for tools or yard equipment, maybe add to his tool box or shed. Try to notice little things that he is interested in and go with an item in that area.

My first year anniversary is coming up too (June 17th) and I am going to try to get my husband a football jersey with his name and his number on it but it is an authentic jersey -Dallas Cowboys- his fave. team, or a new watch -he loves watches-, or he has really been wanting a PS3... but it wont be anything out of the ordinary, Oh, also I was thinking about a new upgraded wedding band or nice necklace. lol :-) too many to chose from.
