Is polysporin and triple antibiotic ointment the same?

Will I be okay after ingesting Triple Antibiotic Ointment (0.9 grams)?

  • Okay I know this is incredibly utterly stupid and irredeemably pathetic but I was feeling ultra low and so utterly pathetic that I wasn't even willing to try to work to succeed in my failure of a life and so in a semi-"suicide attempt" I first "attempted" hanging and then when that seemed unworkable ate a tiny 0.9 gram packet of Fougera triple antibiotic ointment (topical) in hopes of...God I don't even know. The point is, will I survive and be fine (if I don't do it again), survive and be permanently messed up, or flat out die? I am not allergic to anything that I am aware of (no contraindications). Thanks.

    Call a poison control center, or go to the ER and bring the container it came in. They will be able to either tell you you'll be physically fine, or if not they'll be able to pump your stomach and give you IV fluids. And then they'll probably want to observe you, as this is a suicide attempt, and may assign you to a counselor or rehabilitation program if they decide you're a danger to yourself. Do it now, because time is very important here.
