What causes deja vu?

What causes Deja Vu, I'm getting it a lot?

  • I get Deja Vu around 3 times a week. It's really freaky. I suddenly feel it coming on & then I all of a sudden know everything that's going to happen & it does. When it starts happening I remember doing the exact same thing or the same conversations before they happen. I get this really strange sensation, almost like depersonalization, like I'm detatched & watching myself & know what's going to happen. What on earth is causing this??? Is it from smoking too much pot as a teen, is it stress (I am a homeschooling mom of 4 with OCD) or is it a sign of mental illness? My grandmother has Schizophrenia & my mother had seizures.

Everyone gets deja vu, and no one knows why or what causes it. We all get that feeling of 'Omg ive been here before' Once you start to feel it though, your mind is very clever and can almost trick you into believing that you know whats gonna happen. I dont think its anything to worry about, go with the flow. If it is really bothering you go and see your doctor but they can be very mis-understanding and give out medication all too easily...and that is not what you need lol, your not crazy!!!
