Do spiders get hungry?

I need to get over my terrible fear of spiders for "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" ride?

• Everytime I see a spider no matter how big or small, I freeze up, I can't kill it or run or anything. I usualy ran and get somone to kill it if I don't scream at high pitchs before hand. After I encounter one and get really freeked out, I nearly cry. I get seriously terrified. I don't remember anything tramatic events for me to be afraid of spiders and I actualy have some memories of watching spiders when I was younger. The first ime I truely believe I was afraid of spiders was when I first read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and read about Aragog and his chldren and then seeing it on the slver screen (I actualy was more afraid of the book version then the movie version.) Anyways, I really want to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with my girlfriend and she's really looking forward to going on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Naturaly, being a big fan of Harry Potter myself, looked up a ride video of Forbidden Journey and shreeked and cried when Aragog appeared ot of nowhere and then I saw some better quality videos and their are webs and spiders crawling everywhere and I don't hink I an handel it. I really want to go on it and see it with my girlfriend and not be a wuss but I just cannot sand them. Anyone have suggestions on how to get on this ride and survive with out experiencing a panic attack? Whoever is the first to say that I should remember that I am 300x their height, you might as well tell that to the Aragog animatronic.

  CLOSE YOUR EYES. I've ridden the ride. I have a fear of spiders too (albeit less extreme than yours.) Once you see the Whomping Willow, just shut your eyes, and wait for it to be over. It is a brief moment, and once you get through it, it will all be okay. Good luck! ;)
