What's the scientific (medical) explanation of the "deja vu" phenomenon?

When the brain accidentally sends the memory to long term before sending to short term. So you end up feeling like it has happened before even though it hasn't.

Straightforward 'doubletake', time-link between senses taking in information and Brain processing data. Sort of 'Ghosting' effect, overlay of data makes you feel 'this has happened before' at the same time as it is actually happening. I did read somewhere that the same thing can happen while we dream and it shows up on encephelographs as a brief dual activity line. Might be worth looking up sleep research.

Hello Alladin. Time does not exist. Time is a human invention. Everything is happening at the exact same moment. You are living past, present and future at the same time. This is why you get the feeling that you have lived this before (deja vu). Another theory is reincarnation. Maybe we have lived many times and one situation resembles another one that you lived before. [email protected]
