Can you faint while you are sleep walking?

How can you keep someone from sleep walking outside in the middle of the night???

  • i have been sleepwalking for about 2 years! yesterday i let my cat out and he was outside all night! i was terrified, how can i stop sleepwalking so i dont eventually hurt myself or others!??

  • Answer:

I sleep walk and the only thing that really prevents sleepwalking is this. When you go to bed and feel over tired worked up or just feel that you might sleep walk, (normally you can have a kind sixth sence that tells you if you think you will sleepwalk. Listen to your body.) set your alarm for 2 hours. So say its 9;00 set your alarm for 11:00 and then fall asleep. when your alarm goes off you will wake up and turn it off and go back to bed. My doctor said it has to do with breaking the sleep cycle and once its broken you wont have to worry about it until the next night. It doesnt even need to be 2 hours exact it could be 11/2 hours, as long as it is somewhat close to that. You only need to set your timer once every night. it is said that this works for 88% of people, it works for me. if you have anyother questions you can email me.

There is no known way to stop sleepwalking, and what ever happens, no one can wake you up! It's very dangerous as it can cause a trauma to the sleepwalker. Best way is to have someone watch you... or, tie your wrist to your bed, but no-one can wake you up, I'm very very serious about this. My grandfather used to tie his wrist to the bed, it worked well for him... find what works for you!

We used to safety pin my grandfather's pajamas to the bed at night so he wouldn't sleepwalk

have some kind of lock put on the higher part of the door where it is not easy to unlock

Tie yourself to the bed at night, when you hit the end of the rope you'll wake up.Works for me...

I used to do that, started tieing a soft yarn around my ankle and around the foot of the bed, tied a really big knot so it isn't easily untied, I usually just cut it off with scissors in the morning, but when you get out of bed, you have to wake up to untie the complicated knot. Worked well for me.

You need to go to Radio shack and buy what is called a personal alarm. It is an alarm that has a string on it that clips to your clothes. You attach the alarm to part to your bed and then clip the string part to your clothes. If you try to get up the string detaches from the alarm causing it to go off. You can also buy alarms for your door that would sound if the door was opened.
