How do you know when you need physical therapy?

How do i know if i need therapy?

  • over the summer, i became really depressed. i have always had anxiety, since fourth grade it started. it can get severe sometimes to the point where it really affects me physically. im a junior in high school and lately i just feel like i can't wait to get out of high school. last year, i didn't want to leave and i hated the idea of growing up. i just hate how everyone is so cliquey and full of themselves. i have friends, im friendly with everyone and i'm not a loser. i get along with everyone but it's just i can't get myself to do certain things. i feel like everything at home is at a standstill and nothing is getting done. i get constant headaches and i space out sometimes it hurts. should i go to therapy and if so how should i tell my parents?

You'd probably be surprised to know how many people feel like you. I think the headaches are because you're feeling stressed, and feeling spaced out could be because of your hormones, it sounds like normal growing up stuff. It's really hard, I know, but things will get better. As for everyone being full of themselves? Inside they probably have many insecurities too, they may even see you as being confident. Try not to worry, oops, it's not that easy is it? Just do what you can and I think in time, you'll feel different. Then you'll have a whole new set of worries to deal with! Sigh, that's life, we just have to get on with it best we can. Take care, and really hope things improve for you.
