How can I get my sleep schedule back?

I get up in the morning at 5 am and before 11 am, I can feel my eyes becoming heavy and I am tired. If I sit down, I can fall asleep sitting up in the chair. This all started when my companion started working nites and kept sleeping all day in my house or wanted me to get up in the middle of the nite for sex when I had to be up at 5 am for work the next day. Now I am literally tired all of the time and I think I am getting depressed. I wish he would just stay the hell away from me now because I think he is responsible for my sleeping problems. It used to never be a problem. Now I am tired all of the time irregardless of how much sleep I get at nite. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the nite at like 3 or 4 am and then I get really tired at work in the day. I have decided to start locking the doors and shut off the phone when he is home. He just dont get it.

it sounds like your sleep rhythm is off, but that doesn't mean it is impossible to get things back to how they were. most likely, you've just exhausted yourself and that has increased your anxiety/depression. start by decreasing any stimulants that you might be using (coffee, etc) and try to exercise. exercising is a great way to really wear down your anxiety and energy so that you can sleep the whole night through. and of course, try to stick to a sleeping schedule. this will get you back on track.
