Is there anything like this?

Why does it seem like i can't do anything right?

  • I always have this feeling of disappointment, like whatever i do isn't good enough or like everything is my fault, and that i'm lazy... like a month ago i went to get help from a psychologist because i felt like a lot of my symptoms i searched pointed to adhd and she said i most likely had it but i dont necessarily have to have the hyper part although i do constantly fidget and tap my feet.. and i dont know why or how to deal with things i feel like are caused by this, but i also dont want to use adhd as an excuse but then i dont know if its just me or the adhd that causes these problems.....my parents always say im lazy and my older brother (who i currently live with) says so too... for example i procrastinate a lot even when i know exactly what the consequences will be or the importance of these things... i have had one job that didnt last long but i sorta got it through my dad and i have never had any outside that and my brother is always on my case now since school ended to get a job and look online and the mall is down the street yet its taken me like a week and i still havent gone and even jsut looked at the job listings let alone drop off resumes and little things around the house like i see a plate i know its mine and should pick it up but i dont i just see it think and walk away... and the worst was this last week i had a whole week to study for one final exam that my future greatly depends on and i distracted myself with everything and pretended to study to my bro and just didnt study at all and by like the third day i decided i wouldnt even bother at all and jsut like guessed and cheated on the exam....now i feel so stupid yet at the same time i have this like whatever feeling inside like deep inside i feel like i dont actually care if i pass or fail, almost like when someone you know dies and you go oooohhh nooo but inside you feel like a bad person because like 5 minutes later you dont care it doesnt seem to affect me when it should......i dont know i guess i just got a lot of issues... if any body has felt this way or anything similar a response or some advice would be nice or words of encouragement i dont know, every one has been telling me of what i do wrong lately and it sucks cuz i know it and please dont tell me to "just get off my *** and go do it" cuz that doesn't help when my brother says it my dad or even when i say it to my self so please just some words of encouragement or similar stories that you got through as well

Jimmy .... you are definitely not alone in your feelings. Tons of people feel like this ! Now as to what can a person do to help get motivated in life, there is no one definite approach, but here are some things to consider: 1.) Find a hobby or two that you can get into, and really enjoy. This will relieve stress, give you confidence to try other things, and give you a sense of pride. 2.) Physical exercise, especially outdoors, helps improve brain chemistry and causes the body to feel good and actually motivates. Even 30 minutes 5 days a week can make a huge difference. Whatever activity you choose, keep a log and set goals for improvement. Do something to congratulate yourself, when you reach a goal. 3.) Once you start to exercise, you will find yourself being more motivated to help you eat right to fuel your body and mind. 4.) As you do these other things you need to think hard about what kind of career would give you enjoyment and satisfaction. Google websites that survey you to help you choose a career. These sites based on you answering questions will make different suggestions. Then google these types of careers to fine tune your choice. Next google how to obtain such a career, and develop a game plan to accomplish it. For many careers, the schools/colleges help you find summer jobs in that field to help get you excited on where you are headed. 5.) Forget about what anyone has told you in the past about you, you are the one in control of your future. Getting motivated in life is like a snowball growing as it rolls downhill. It's momentum helps it move and it grows bigger and bigger. Good luck in your future endeavors ! There are good medicines for ADHD. At some point consider taking Brahmi. You can get it at health food stores. It helps your brain think faster, retain more memory, and helps clear brain fog, depression and anxiety. It's a natural herb. Chip
