What's a good topic for a writing sample?

Difficulty with writing (especially creative) and explaining?

• i am asking this for a friend because she has difficulty with writing. my friend cannot do creative writing, or any writing task in her class. she just sits there, not knowing what to write. like, if the teacher gives a topic for the class to write about she cannot do it. she reads a lot and is good at spelling, so she might not have dyslexia? she also cant do essays or writing a speech, or anything that she needs to create herself. and she cant explain things very well she has a problem maybe with words? she can copy things down but cant write anything from her own words please help we dont know whats the problem is. is it dyslexia? we dont think so because she can read, but what else could it be?

  I don't think it's dyslexia, sounds like she has some sort of problem accessing her imagination. I haven't ever heard of anything like that before. Has she received help?
