What is the PURPOSE of life?

  • I ALREADY KNOW that YOU make the choices in your OWN individual lives. THAT IS NOT THE QUESTION IM ASKING. I want to know WHAT IS THE PURPOSE of everything? God created everything.Right? There is a reason WHY he created everything.I want to know that reason. SURE- you can say that he created life for us, or for him, or for love (THAT DOESN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION) GOD CREATED LIFE BECAUSE? - because he is powerful? YES that is OBVIOUS but that doesn't tell me WHY. GOD cREATED LIFE BECAUSE? - because he thinks life is beautiful?for love? YES but that still does not answer my question GOD created LIFE as a test us to see weather we are going to heaven or hell? I personally believe that heaven or hell is already here-it's life, and depending on what you do in life will bring you closer to your life being in heaven or hell -in life.AND the more you try to explain this it still DOES NOT explain to me WHY or the purpose since we are all created by god anyway. Every single thing happens for a reason. are we his entertainment? his experiment?what?what is the purpose of us? of everything? what is the purpose?

    Very interesting question.... I believe that the purpose of life is not a general thing. Like - purpose is THIS..... _______ (fill in) It is actually different for you, and different for me. There is no 1 purpose or reason of you being here. Scientificaly, the reason ur here is purely biological, and its by a chance, it could be u, but it could be someone else, if other spermatosoid came faster then u... If u think about physics, then u hear scientist talking about parallel universes and stuff, and it would mean that u exist in parallel world, but ur like, 10 years older there...or younger, or just recently born... So, I think that we should concentrate on what we ARE right now rather then WHY we ''are''. Coz as I said, the reason is different, its not a bad game, not experiment, its a bless to be able to be different and create ur own world, and by figuring out who u are, u will automaticly figure out why are you here. You mentioned heaven and hell. I read in a book of one man who was living in Saint mountins in Greece, in monasteries, and dedicated his life to helping people and prooving there is something higher and more powerfull... And he said that this life is just a beggining, and we should learn how to ''live in heaven'' while we are here. Its difficult to explain, but maybe some other time I tell u more about it. So getting back on topic, each one of us has a lifetime to figure out what ur meant to do, and if u are brave enough, if u have courage and strenght, and faith, and passion, you will not be AFRAID to make ur dreams come true. The path isnt easy, but its the question HOW u travel/climb, as much as WHAT ur trying to achieve. And as I said, when u finaly do it, and when ur gramma/granpa, just remembering all the things u did, you will realise the REASON...u will understand WHY. You are asking people why God did something? Unless God has a yahoo account, that's they only way you're going to get the answer you want. Maybe you need to study different religions, research history, look into scientific theories like the Big Bang Theory, and come up with your own conclusion. This can not be answered by people in general, if that's what you're expecting.

I think God created everything for Love. God is Love. I'm not religious but that's one Bible quote I know. He did it to express His love for you and for you to express this love to others and yourself. To know love is to know God, I hear.

Good Q,I question myself that every day,my life is okay right now,but I still don't know whats the purpose of my life. . . I was kinda obsessed with the meaning of life earlier but who am I to search it when no one hasn't discovered that yet. . . I suggest you to enjoy in life and don't bother yourself much with the meaning. . . Save yourself the hassle. Worrying too much about the after death distracts from the before death. Just live as if this is your only life and expect no reward for it. This question doesn't even matter in the long run anyway.

to get from one end of life to the other end. as the chicken joke goes, why did the chicken cross the road? to get to the other side. only reason and goal you have is to live life and get though it to the other side. Do not over think it.

Your questions seems to be the rephraze of "What caused life to be created?" To answer your question scientifically (sorry buddy, this isn't the religion section), we are not quite sure where life "started" but it evolved by adapting (learn your biology facts kiddo :P) to new environments. Some theories as to where life came include that first, when the Earth formed, there were oceans, and in those oceans, there are molecules that started forming the simplest bacteria, the simplest ones that can reproduce. Then, by random mutations (again, random combination of molecules) the bacteria started to adapt to the environment and gain better survival traits. Then the bacteria started evolving, and evolving, and evolving, and eventually got SO evolved, that all the life on Earth we know today is here! Study evolution and Darwin. So that is why life on Earth is here, because the bacteria evolved into it! Because that's how chemistry works! When you put some atoms together by random chance, you get molecules, and then molecules can make bacteria (it takes a while though, and no one is sure yet how this happens) and all this put together makes life that can reproduce! Awesome science. Alrighty, since in your question you also included "everything" as to why everything got created, well, that scientists do not know yet, because they yet do not know what caused the big bang. There was no "before" the big bang, because big bang created time itself. Learn some physics, it's really awesome!
