Mars Aspects = "Experiences We Seek"?
-
I was reading on an astrology website (cafe astrology), that the aspects that Mars makes to other planets will show what kind of experiences we seek to have. Here is the link. - http://www.cafeastrology.com/mars.html Here is the quote. - "Planets that Mars contacts are colored with action and self-assertion. These planets can represent the kinds of experiences we seek". So, would that mean that if it was, for example, a Mars-Mercury aspect, we would seek activities that has to do with your mind (games of strategy, debates, ect.)? What are your Mars placements including sign, house and aspects and what kinds of experiences do you seek? Such as, do you like to have fun experiences (games, socializing, ect.), do you like to have more serious experiences, do you like to have experiences where you are learning something, whatever you think applies to the question is fine.

Answer:
Mars in Pisces, House 12 Mars Opposition Pluto Mars Conjunction Ascendant Sun Sextile Mars I seek experiences where I can learn new things that will give me a better understanding of other people. I don't like socializing in general, although I do enjoy interchange with groups. I like to travel to local places and learn everything about them, for the sake of knowing.

Mars in Taurus, House 8 Moon Sextile Mars Mars Trine Jupiter Mars Trine Neptune Mars Trine Uranus I like to seek meaningful experiences that widen my perception and understanding. When I was younger I thought I could do this with drugs and associating with people I thought were like-minded...Now I like to do this through traveling and seeing the World in it's beauty, making art, and obtaining knowledge.
Mars Cancer, 5th House. Mars Conjunction Jupiter Mars Opposition Saturn Mars Trine Midheaven I don't want to have any experiences. I want to shrivel up and die, lay in some nice coffin underneath the ground and sleep, forever, peaceful. Yep.
mars in sagittarius -1st house mars conjunct ascendant, saturn, uranus mars square sun, mercury mars trine midheaven i'm not sure what kind of experience i'm seeking,...anything with a slight sense of thrills. i'm always up for something new. i am yet to find out the meaning of 'true freedom' and whether or not there is such thing. i'm craving for a sense of freedom/liberty. i'm reading philosophy books on it. i definitely like meeting new people as well. i'd love to find similar minded people, or anyone i can relate to, because i feel like i'm such a rare creature. i'm always the odd one out. i love exchanging thoughts with people. i like to express my mind. i also love to express my emotions, through music and art.

I have Mars in Capricorn in the 1st house. Mars conjunct Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, and Ascendant. Mars sextile Sun. Mars trine Jupiter and MC. Personally, I most prefer experiences where I learn something about myself and/or about the world. I like things that help me grow, because I hate to feel stagnant. I don't want to always be the same and think the same things, I want challenge. I also like experiences that are strange, unique, and surreal, because I find them to be intriguing and magical. I also seek out experiences that make me feel, like, truly feel the beauty of the world - these kinds of experiences can be found anywhere. Because almost any experience can end up a learning experience, a surreality, beautiful, or a combination of any of these things, ideally I'm pretty much up for anything. Saturn's influence certainly does caution me but probably also simultaneously encourages my desire to learn, just in a more constructive and inward way.

I tried an experiment a few years ago. I had this friend trying to persuade me that I should call for a reading. She gave me the phone number of her reader. I called, but I gave completely bogus information about my birth date, etc. I recorded the result and sent it to my friend. She waxed rhapsodic about how accurate it was, pointing out things that she thought agreed with my personality and my history. Then, when I told her that I had given a bogus birthdate etc, she told me I wasn't playing fair. So ... she was completely willing to accept the accuracy of a reading that was (at least theoretically) based on nothing. In truth, it was based on the person talking to me and had nothing to do with what planet was in what zodiac symbol and where the Sun was. It had far more to do with the reader's ability to read between the lines when talking to me. An intuitive reader with bogus information will presumably do better than a non intuitive reader with correct information. What does that tell you about the information? Of course, to do a true apples-and-apples test, I would need to be able to give the same reader incorrect data and correct data and be able to compare her results - but if she remembers me, that won't work. I will admit, my little test wasn't particularly statistically valid (not enough samples), but there has been a ton of statistical work on this subject, and NOBODY has found any repeatable correlation between these various astronomical phenomenon and anything else. There is some correlation between when you were born in the year and your personalities having to do with how old you were when you entered the school system ... but that has NOTHING to do with where the stars were. If you want to read your horoscope and think its fun - go for it. However, it is just as accurate as flipping lots of coins. If you learn anything about yourself, it has more to do with your ability to analyze yourself than where the planets are.
