Answer:
Clutches are disposable. They are meant to wear out. Excessive use should not harm anything; all it will do is cause the clutch to wear out a bit faster than normal. Believe me, you'll know when it is ready to replace. Happy riding!

no because if you use the clutch properly it wont wear it out. when you shift you supposed to use the clutch if you dont it will grind the gears teeth off
Depending on what model it is, bikes usually have wet clutches which means they are lubricated and cooled by some kind of oil. This basically means that you can "ride the clutch" and not worry. Check your owner's manual to make sure its a wet clutch. If you don't have a manual, you can usually get one for free on the manufacturer's website.

Any item on any piece of machinery is subject to wear and tear. I doubt you will tear it up, but you probably will need to learn to adjust it, so you can keep the clutch doing its job. which is to act as an intermediary between engine and transmission. None of us came from the womb riding, we all had to learn mastery of a hand clutch. You will be no different. Keep practicing, stalling the bike, restarting it, trying again. Within a month to 6 weeks you too will be a pro.
if you dont use clutch ,you can damage transmission gear teeth...clutches do wear out after time, but if you get a manual, you will find that it is one of the easiest fixes on a motorcycle...very simple if you have instructions.....i always buy a manual for every bike i own...you will learn the clutch...give it time and take it slow at first...practice makes perfect

Through normal wear and tear your clutch will go out eventually. Not knowing how to use your clutch properly will definitely expedite the process. Take it easy until you get the timing right.
