*Help* Any messengers on scooters in nyc?

Summer is almost over and the winter is just around the corner,so I'm thinking of working as a messenger on a scooter here in manhattan to make extra money on the side. My question is... has anyone here ever worked as a messenger on a scooter?? i need some tips/advice A little background on me, i worked as a bike messenger back in the early 90's for 2 years so i have some experience, I'm a native new yorker/Manhattanite so i know the city like the back of my hand. I'm an experienced motorcycle rider "12 years under my belt" So here's what I'm curious about..... How many runs a day is it possible to do on a scooter in Manhattan? is the delivery pay the same as a bike messenger or alittle more? Do the traffic cops harass messengers on scooters?and do they frequently give out tickets?

Well pal, as long as you observe the traffic rules and do not zig zag your way to the next destination, there is no question of any harassment. Also whether you ride a scooter or a motorcycle is up to you. Why should the pay be any different. You put in an honest days work and do it with confidence. Leave the rest to God. He will be your guide.
