Is this a good motorbike for a first bike?

How can i get a learner legal 125cc motorbike as my first bike cheap?

  • I am about 17 going on 18 and I would like to buy my first bike, I have been looking for a decent motorbike which is learner legal and quite cheap but durable and most have been over £1500 and they are just cruisers. I do want it to last ofc for about 2 years at the very least until i am able to buy a faster bike. So thats prob second/third year of university. Thanks Jammin

for a start, nowadays forget new, get a second hand bike and take someone who knows motorcycles to go with you and give it a thorough check-over before handing over any cash. from there, look in the local ad papers or online, other than that - just let people know you're in the market and some-one will eventually tell you they know some-one selling....

Or you could buy new and re sell when you are ready to more up , Yamaha has a new 125 cc out now that looks very nice , from what I see here in the USA motorcycles seem to hold their value very well and is often hard to find a good bike at a good price.

Honda CG 125's are very reliable and go on forever! Go see a few used ones, starting around £700 up to whatever you want to pay. Try to buy off a mature rider who has had it regularly serviced. (That goes for any bike!)
