Where can i get race fuel to put in my Harley?

Is your engine set up to need that high octane fuel?? If not it is a waste of money and its all in your head if your sporty is stock you are slowing the burn rate down -Hurting it not helping And No slip ons dont make it no race tuned engine Prolonged use yeah it will crud up your engine because it wont burn clean enough also buy plugs by the case it will foul them right & left Build your engine first then think about the fuel

It's all in your head. First of all, a higher octane does not boost performance. That is a myth. All it does is prevent knock. The reason why performance vehicles use a higher octane level is because they have higher compression ratios, which will cause predetonation if you don't use higher octane fuel. Second of all, you sound like an idiot. That Sportster engine is not made for a lead-based fuel or ethanol. You are going to end up frying some rings (if you are lucky) or doing more damage to that motor. If you want to destroy the motor on a $8k machine, go right ahead. Otherwise, there are plenty of people who would be happy to have that bike that won't treat it like it's a toy. EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to my rant. But it's "predetonation", not "detonation". Your fuel is supposed to detonate, just not prematurely.

Check the local Citgo or Sunoco gas stations. Look for one that sells Turbo Blue racing fuel. This fuel is good for up to 14 to 1 compression. Also works with turbochargers or superchargers. Turbo Blue contains lead and is for off road use only. I wouldn't recommend it for every day use. Very expensive. I don't think a street engine would last very long using it. Serious racers frequently rebuild their engines so it is not an issue for them. Turbo Blue is what most of the local racers use where I live. Unless you have made some serious modifications to your engine, high octane racing fuel will be a big waste of your money. The octane rating is the fuel's resistance to spontaneous combustion under compression. The higher the octane rating, the more compression it takes to make the fuel spontaneously combust. A high compression engine requires higher octane fuel to prevent detonation. Detonation is a condition where the fuel air mixture ignites while being compressed before the spark plug fires. Detonation can cause serious internal damage to an engine. So higher octane fuel will only do you any good if you have some serious modifications to you engine such as high compression pistons giving a compression ratio of 12 to 1 or better, a turbocharger, or a supercharger. WHY ... its not a sport bike, and running a quarter mile on a harley will get smoked by any other brand of motorcycle. your waisting your money and potentially damaging your engine.

you'd need a minimum 12:1 compression before you require that kind of octane (over 91), the rest is all in your head. (you can't build an evo sporty with a higher ratio than 12:1, they just don't offer any combinations even with dome pistons with valve cutouts that mathematically add up any higher, and if yours is built up to 12:1, it ain't no street bike) if you're insistent in doing something different because it makes you feel better about it, why don't you try out an ethanol, methanol, or nitro methane fuel.... that'll shake any of the loose parts out

many motorcycle dealers sell race fuel for motocross bikes, it comes in a blue 5 gallon can and the last i checked its $55.

Call your nearest hobby shop( yellar pages) and ask'em if they sell nitro fuel for RC cars. This stuff is about $30 a gallon & we mix 1 cup : 1 gal. of gas.
