What kind of dirt bike should I get ?

  • I'm 15 and I want to get my first dirt bike. I'm 5 foot 8 in and weigh 130(I don't know if that matters) I'm mainly going to go riding on dirt trails and in my back yard. Like I said I'm new so I don't want anything too crappy or too nice or anything that will break easily or cost a lot. Anything under $1,500

Learn to work on it yourself. Get a 2-stroke 125 or 250. I would say 96 to 2002...great bikes, very reliable and have more power than you will ever need. Don't get a TTR or smaller CRF -- you will get bored in a week (unless it is a TTR230 but you wont find one for $1500) - Helmet / gloves / boots

Should get a dual sport street and off road get 400cc or up im 15 and have a 78 dt 400 very good honda xl600r

Try a Honda XR250, or Kawasaki KDX200.

Good used 225 4-stroke, Honda or Yamaha. Have fun! And spend some money on tough boots, gloves and a well-fit helmet.
