What is a good beginner dirtbike?

Is a 125cc gio a good beginner dirtbike?

  • Answer:

That is plenty of bike for a beginner. A 125 will require use of clutch and shifting. Do you know how to do that? Who is going to teach you? When releasing the clutch you need to stay steady on the gas (not too high rpm) and squeeze the clutch out. By squeezing the clutch out I am saying to release it easy. You will feel the bike start to move forward. Don't let go yet. Keep squeezing it out. When you shift pull clutch in, release throttle (same time as pull clutch in) and pull gear lever up with toe. Do that in 1 - 2 - 3 for a while till you get the hang of it. Down shifting is just the opposite with the lever. A 125 can be a quick bike so take it easy for a bit till you get familiar with it. P.S. - Don't let anyone else ride it. They might get hurt or break your bike. Always wear a good full face helmet, gloves, long pants and boots. All Gear All The Time. AGATT
