What could I do to get better performance out of my dirt bike?

  • I have a 200cc dirt bike and the engine on it is a lifan brand engine. I know that most lifans are poor running engines but mine runs good. Couldn't tell the difference between this engine and the stock engine. The engine is on a 1987 Honda xr200r frame and I am wanting to bt performance pars for this bike and make it run even better. What could. But to put on the bike and get better performance out of it?what parts of the engine could I modify and make it perform better?what could I buy to put on the bike to make it perform better?

    Its best not to modify Iifan engine parts yourself. You would be better off with bolt on parts for this brand motor. The two things that will help you the most is getting a high performance Carburetor (or re-jet the one you got) and installing it and a aftermarket exhaust system that is designed for performance.Those two things will improve the output of the engine the most without getting into internal engine modifications. Also you can install a high quality Iridium spark plug which takes less energy to fire and gives a stronger spark within the combustion chamber.

Air filters are subject to a very dirty environment. They should be checked regularly and cleaned after every ride. Not to make this critical approach will allow dirt into the engine, which can eventually destroy it.
