Is there a class i can take to learn how to ride a motorcycle?

( You can search for one in your area ) I took the class and have been riding for 2 years not. Without the class I would never have been riding this long. It's a lot more complicated than it looks. I highly recommend taking a class.

Have you tried going to a motorcycle dealership? They should know of one if they don't have one themselves.

In Portland, OR. one of the local Community colleges, offers a certified rider course. Check with your local colleges, also call your local DMV or jusy stopby a dealer. they will have a solution as to where you can get a quality rider course.

You can call a few bike shops and see if they offer trainning coures some colleges also offer them. if you still can't find any thing try your local secretary of state office.

Hi Where do you live? I think you can find motorcycle courses in both the States and Canada. I have been riding for 20 or so yrs and know that in Canada you can go to your local insurance company and they will know who to get ahold of. As far as the States, I am not positive, but would think you could do the same thing.... Have you sat on a Vulcan 500, just remember you want to be fairly flat footed when sitting on the bike. I am a shorter person and bought a Low Sportster to help with that. You can ride tall bikes as a short person, but it is alot harder, especially backing up and such. And especially when you are first riding. Take it easy with that bike, it may be a smaller one, but will go like a bat outta you know where.... Good luck and catch ya in the wind

Yes here in the USA they offer all kinds of riding classes. I'd look it up and register for the beginners course. Here in Massachusetts the course cost bout $300.00 - $400.00 and when you're finished you go away with ur license as well. They do offer them nation wide so it is just a matter of finding one. Your registry of motor vehicles should be able to help ya out there.

There is an organization that does exactly what you want. It is called the Motorcycle Safety Federation and it has courses all over the states. Some are tought through Universities, some are privately taught, and some go through the dealers like Honda or HD. It is the best way to start learning. read everything they give you and practice. Shifting will be easy for you. Stay within your capability. Don't let people talk you into riding beyond your skill level. After you have ridden for a year, youmay want to take the advanced rider course
