Snowboarding question??

Snowboarding motorcycling gear question?

  • Hey! So I skate, play in bands, ride bikes, etc. My buddies had always talked about taking me snowboarding with them since its right up my alley, but for some reason it hasn't worked out yet. My question is, I dont have any winter clothing. Would any of my motorcycle threads keep me safe/warm? Leather jacket, Joe rocket gloves, etc. The jacket is a little tight fitting, but snug and warm. I would layer with a Sweater, under armour type insulation, etc.

  • Answer:

Layer a bunch of wool and polypropylene under-ware beneath a loose fitting waterproof shell. Get some really good snowboarding gloves. No leather, no tight fitting uninsulated gloves.

Having done both I can tell you for a fact that the motorcylr hrst id not going to do the job you want. I suggest you take someone with the right knowledge and start with some 2 piece long underwear so you can just use the legs or also the top and pick up the type of gear necessary for keeping warm. Its one thing to spend a hour or two playing in the snow. Its a whole big ball of frozen nuts that takes the fun out when you spend all day flying into snow banks while trying to miss the big trees. The best time to buy gear is at the end of the season you can get 50 to 60 percent off. or more like 250 follar down coats for 50 bucks at times so put in some good shopping time and save your nuts from getting stuck in your throat.
