Are Harley Davidson (HD) dealers allowed to sell other brands?

Yes. and they can be in the same bulding.

I do business with a Harley shop in Paris Tx that also sells Honda & Yamaha. The signage out front primarily says HD, with secondary signage that says Honda/Yamaha. The website says "Paris Harley", but also says Honda/Yamaha. The family that runs the place are a great bunch and I would assume have a positive working relationship with Harley, Honda &Yamaha. They have a service dept that is made up of guys that work exclusively on HD, some guys that service only Honda and/or Yamaha.(No cross-servicing confusion issues) I have a Yamaha Kodiak and a Heritage Softail...they have treated me right every time.

There is a Harley shop in Paducah KY that sells Harleys, KTM, Yamaha, and at least one other brand. Their service department is second to none and the sales force in their new bike sales is great as well. Then there is Hannums up in Lima Pa that for a while sold Harleys, Hondas and Kawasaki's. The only reason why Mr Hannum gave it up, as told to me by him, was that he made more profit in 1 month from selling Harleys then he did in 6 months of selling Japanese bikes. There is a Harley shop out on 25 E in Morristown TN that sells Harleys and Kawasaki's. These are just the shops that I know of personally. Now I will say that most motorcycle dealerships have opted to go exclusively with one brand for one reason-they get better pricing from the factory with only 1 brand. And in todays economy the dealerships need every break they can get

For bikes, Ive only seen new Vespa scooters being sold as a different brand & if a dealership is desperate for a sale theyll take a trade-in of a different brand.

Yes. Mischler's HD sells both Harley and BMW.

Harley-Davidson/Honda Dealer in Michigan City Indiana The HD portion is in front, the Honda portion is on the side.

I dunno about ALL brands, but my local shop sells at least 3 , including Harleys.
